Haven't we gone off track?

If our plan is to make money with our passion project, why are we focusing so much on building up client projects?

Because you want to give yourself as much unfair advantages as you can, in order to do that you do not want to do what everyone else is doing - spamming auditions, videos and other content, and hoping to cut through the noise. It's almost like gambling in a way.

Instead, you want to attract and convert long-term clients using a systematic framework. Take imperfect action which will hopefully lead you to a meaningful career in your field which provides a large amount of educational experience.

Then during that time you can be making enough $$$ while still building up your own passion projects.

This is not a waste of time because your career will also be an educational experience.

Case Study: Me

Went from making my own passion project blog to doing client work, scaled my client work into a full-time job by performing with high-quality work and now I'm in a job that has numerous benefits and more importantly, provides an incredible amount of industry expertise.

Alternatively, I could have kept shooting blogs out into the world - who knows if I would have gotten monetizable traffic or made a single penny for my work.

To be honest, I don't have enough willpower to go down that spray and pray route, so here we are 😂.
